Habitat: On a beautiful golf course in northern michigan growing on the rough. dozens and dozens of them growing in clusters all over everywhere. i believe there are 2 types of mushrooms though. i seperated the darker ones from the lighter ones.
Gills: gill are dark brownish
Stem: between 2-6 cm tall. 1/4 cm thick. white. maybe some dark bruising.
Cap: larger set are between 1 and 3 cm across and are brown to whitish fading at the edges. smaller set are the same but are brown.
Spore print color: currently taking spore prints. i will post as soon as the results come in. Bruising: a little dark but i cant really see any blue.
1ST set

2ND Set

It is likely that you have more than one species in this collection.

Okay. First things first. The first time you find active fungi you're naturally going to be ecstatic. That's okay but you have to be accurate with what you're doing. I believe, and I'm just an invisible human typing on a keyboard god knows where, that you have at least a few Panaeolus Subbalteatus based on your pics. I also think you may have another species (or two) in your collection, but I'm not certain. You need to categorize your collection as specifically as possible based on appearance. Then take spore sprints on tin foil. Make notes on your species in order to help others continue to identify what you have. If you do have Panaeolus subbalteatus you have low potentcy mushrooms. Note that some have associated this species with stomach cramps. Either way, man, great finds and great photos. Try to take some more pics when you get a chance. You're fortunate to have found these!Q

I've visited N. M. several times in the past. During repeated rains there should be plenty other types of mushrooms in your general area as well. Keep an eye out for species that have not yet been identified. There's lots of info online, but new stuff is still being provided little by little.

You have a mixed collection for sure...There are some subbs in there and probably at least two more species. You must carefully seperate and spore print the entire collection...or better yet don't eat any from this collection and collect more carefully in the future. Those dark ones look like some sort of Psilocybe to me...carefully break apart a moist cap...is there a thin, elastic skin-like layer over it?

Did a really thin see-through layer come off the surface of the cap...over the brown part? It mat just barely peel off. From one of the ones to the left in the last pic.

Oh well...I'm probably wrong anyway... You should look at some pics of Panaeolus cinctulus (subbs) and then head out to that golf coarse quick before they disappear!

definitely not there are poisonous mushrooms, some even lethal assume nothing take the entertaining steps towards identification or wait as you gradually become familiar with the actives in your area
