Hi all i just wanted to share my idea with you all. Let me know how you like it and how or if it need to be improved. So i live in a apt. and there is not alot of room and I don't want to bulid a Martha so everyone coming over knows that im growing shrroms. This is what i have come up with. it is still in concept form but plan i building it soon. i have all the supply's i just need the right Rubbermaid storage cabinet. Hear is a diagram of what i have planed.

I am looking at getting basically a plastic Rubbermaid dresser with drowers that i can slide in and out. putting a Rubbermaid bin on the bottom as a big ultrasonic fogger humidifier. drill holes in the drowers to let the the fogger do its thing as well as FAE. Would I need the fans for good FAE and RH? I will be using something like metal chicken wire as racks for the myc to sit on. i like this idea becacse any extra water created by the fogger will run right back down into the bottom bin.and i can't forget the 3 fros on each level set to 12on /12off. the fogger air pump and , air stone and fans will be set to 5 mins on every 4 hours. how do u like it?

Unless you like tinkering, you can accomplish great grows from a lot simpler methods.

Personally I think all that shit would be a huge pain in the ass when perlite or hydro-tron, bubble wand, air pump, water, and light would be fine. Make a PmP by Magash. They are the shit. Search PmP and and read the whole thread it's great, then take the basic concept and use your imagination to make it stealth. Oh ya and its simple as fuck and low maintenance. I'm still a noob though what do i know. Good luck with your grows man!

monotub are basically the same thing, but if one goes south you wont contaminate the others(like with your system)

Seems like it could be a bit tricky to direct the humid air into the top drawer without some sophisticated plumbing. What about using a file cabinet? You'd have the advantages of being able to lock each drawer (if you get one with locks, of course) and no one would be able to peek into it. If you're going to use a fogger with a tall setup, someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think you'd get a much more even humidity distribution if you placed it in the top drawer and let the humid air drift downward, perhaps having a fan at the bottom base pushing air out.

just do a monotub, if your after stealth, fooggers and humidifiers are not worth it. wires everywhere, noise and the rest.
door bell rings, one plastic tub gets hidden in wadrobe.
mono's are the king for stealth.

monotub would probably be best it can be easily hidden and low maintenance

Don't listen to the discouraging comments. If you want to try it, try it, and let us know how it works.
If I posted my set-up, I'd probably get 100 comments asking "why didn't you just do a monotub?", and "seems like overkill to me." But it works great, and is fully automated. You don't see people making those comments about RR's set-up, because it's proven.

Oh, and if you're gonna have all that elec. equipment somewhat exposed to high humidity, you should plug everything into a GFCI outlet. If you don't have one close to your set-up, they're pretty easy to swap out, just make sure you turn the breaker off and follow the instructions for the GFCI. If you need more than one outlet, you can install a GFCI breaker in your electrical panel. Be safe when using electrical components in these conditions!

Thanks for your advice. With this I have a monotub which has worked good for me. I am now growing out of an ice cream cooler witch is working good also. I have aslo used a regular fish tank. Going with proven stuff is the way to go if you don't like to think of doing somthing new. As for me I love trying new stuff and makeing it. I also want a bulk set up like a Martha. Well if noons trys anything new we r stuck doing it the same way. I will post pic of when I bulid it and let u know how it all works.

Right on.
If people didn't experiment with new teks, we'd all still be doing the pf tek. How do you think people came up with monotubs? By experimenting!

tajmahal420 do you have any pics of your set up I can take a look at? and thanks for not bashing me for trying something new. And what dose GFCI stand for. my idea is one mono tub can hold about 10 lbs substrate my idea will hold 3 times that like close to 9 spawn bags. i just would rather do a little more work and have 3 times the shooms but that's me.

GFCI: ground fault circuit interrupter. You probably have one by your bathroom/kitchen sink. They have the test and reset buttons. They kill the power to whatever is plugged in when they sense a problem with grounding.
As far as my set-up, I don't have any pics, but it's easy enough to picture in your head. It's a 3'6"x6'0" closet, entirely covered the walls/floor/ceiling in thick black plastic, with all seams duct taped. I use a radiator type space heater (the kind with oil inside), plugged into a seedling mat thermostat, set to keep the temp at 76F. It gets as warm as 80F in there, which isn't ideal, but doesn't seem to cause any problems. I overlapped the plastic at the entry (closet didn't have a door on it) with a gap at the bottom for a fan that comes on 3 times a day for a few minutes for FAE. I have an ultrasonic humidifier that sits on the floor, with 2" PVC (fits perfectly) that goes vertical up to a few inches from the ceiling, a 2" "T" fitting, with about 6" of PVC coming out either side of the "T". 15 minutes on, 45 minutes off. In the 45 minutes it's off, the humidity drops to mid 80s%, but goes right back up to 99% in the 15 minutes it's on. I installed wire shelves on the walls, and a 2 bulb 4' long flourescent fixture on the ceiling, 12 on, 12 off.
Monotubs wouldn't work for me, because of the temperature fluctuations in my house. I have 2 sliding glass doors that face west, and when I get home in the afternoon, my house is BOILING on sunny days, even in winter. When I got home yesterday afternoon, it was 95F in there, while only 72F outside! And I don't have any windows, other than the 2 doors.

Oh, and for colonizing jars, I built a box in the bottom corner of the closet with some plywood and lined it with rigid foam insulation. It keeps a pretty steady temp between 72F and 74F.

Your setup sounds good and if it works for you use it. I just want a large FC to be automatic that can grow a 36 oz per flush I would like to see a monotub try that. That's my plan wish me luck.
