So I'm trying to plan out the best procedures to take to get the most out of a strain isolate. I haven't isolated yet, but I figured I should have a game plan for once I have.

So this is what I have come up with:

1. Strain Isolation

2. Inoculation of Master Slants (Long Term Low Temp Storage)

3. Transfer from Slant to a single grain jar (this step is to ensure the strain is still vigorous as well as free of contamination)

4. Once grain jar is nearing 100% colonization, use Agar's Grain LC Tek to create a "Master" Non Nutritious LC (NNLC)

5. The Master LC is then used to inoculate nutritious LC's (Light Dried Malt Extract)

6. Nutritious LC then used to inoculate grain spawn

7. If extra spawn is required, G2G transfers to multiply spawn

8. Fruit

All comments are welcome. Do I have too many steps? Would you change anything?

You can get a lot of that grain LC from a single jar.  I wouldn't bother with the additional nutritive LC unless you really need that much inoculant.  Just keep a master slant and do more grain LC or g2g when you need.

That's just me though, maybe you would benefit from having a jar of LC on hand. ~Pixie~
