Agar price sounds right. Dunno about the millet- what's the search engine saying?

I don't think the hulled millet will be what you want. It will most likely turn into a wet mush mess after soaking/bringing to boil. The hull of the grain keeps the moisture inside while the outside is dry.

I've used pearled barley with success in the past. It was the grain I used on all projects before switching to rye grass seed.
Hulled millet will turn to a mush after it has been soaked and PC'ed.

I wonder if you could prep it like rye grass, just put a measured amount in the jar w/ water and PC?

Next time go to a hardware store to get your millet. I bought that hulled millet from the health food store when I was a newb, and it dried out way to easy while it was colonizing. Don't get me wrong, it can work, the hardware store stuff works way better (imo). BTW, millet at a hardware store is less than a buck a pound, and if you get a 50lb sack, there is usually a good discount.
I also always recommend mixing in some verm with your millet before you pc it. This will help regulate your moisture content.

Soak for 12-16 hours, then simmer for about 2-3 minutes and strained for an hour.
