Search the cultivation forum. Do you live along the west coast?

They don't grow anywhere near you. They're native to just a few miles on either side of the mouth of the Columbia river, along the coast. They've been cultivated in areas with a long, wet, temperate fall. If your weather goes from hot to cold to freezing very fast in the fall, they're not for your zone. RR

I've seen them growing in the wild. They're pretty. They also will rock your world. They also don't grow wild in Jersey. What RR said^^^^^

Not really "in my town" but within reasonable driving distance. Love 'em. Azures are my friends.

i know they dont grow near me. on wikipedia it says they grow in
Cultivated patches occur worldwide, but natural patches are found along the US Pacific coast, north of Seaside, Oregon, as well as Astoria, Oregon. Isolated patches have been found as far south as Arcata, California and are very common in Humboldt County, CA.
is that true?

I'm not sure about azures that far south. I know Psilocybe Cyanescens grows down there, which is a VERY similar species(I believe they used to be classified as the same species)
I'm sure there's some cultivated patches down there though.

That's hard to determine as in cultivated patches...meaning you placed them outside I think NJ gets too cold to quick for many active subb. species..look for a field guide for you're State this will inform you on what will grow in you're environment.....E
