How close does this mycobag look? (pics)

I'm using a mycobag from a non-sponsor, so won't link to them. It seems a little different from the bag teks most people are using. Once the bag is fully colonised, you cut it open and add a polymer casing layer, fold the top down, wrap the bag in foil and stick it back in the cupboard. Four days after that, you open the bag up and put it in a humidity tent (a larger bag with some perlite) and wait for the mushies.
Here's my bag 17 days after inoculation. It took a while to get going, but has been spreading nicely the past week. There's a small patch of exposed rye on the bottom of the bag, which I expect will be covered in the next 2-3 days. I couldn't get a pic of the top of the bag due to condensation, but it's nice and white.

Would the bag be considered 100% once that patch is covered?
Also, I've read about waiting another week with jars for consolidation. Do I need to do that with a bag, or can I just cut it open as soon as it's all white?

that bag would be best if used as spawn in my opinion. have you been mashing it?

I massaged the bag a little over a week ago. Was fairly gentle with it.
Noob grower and would prefer to just stick with the bag for now rather than messing around with bulk

what type of casing layer are you thinking of using?
depending on what type of casing, I might or might not do one.
I have had perfectly good substrates ruined due to bad casing layers.
You could just fruit in-vitro, or just cut a slit at the top of the bag, and allow it to fruit like that.
I would wait for that corner to get mostly colonized (it might take a while to get fully, due to the fact it seems pretty condensed in the end)
then i would cut and roll the top back almost to substrate level, then place inside the larger 'fruiting chamber'
You can use another bag to fruit in, but maybe a tupperware with perlite would do better.
Roger Rabbits 'shotgun' tek style Fruiting Chamber would be good, since this is just a big cake.
So reall just depends on what type of casing layer .
otherwise you seem to know what your doing. I've learned that playing it safe is good if your looking just to have fruits.
But sometimes experimenting is a reason to stay in this hobby.

The casing layer came with the mycobag kit. They describe it as a "polymer/verm mix". They say you can fruit without it, but that yields are much better if you use it.
Assuming I stick with their instructions, sounds like another few days for that corner to get pretty much done and I should be good to go?
Re. the shotgun FC, I'll be using one of those for the PF grow I've got running as well. For this one, I thought I might as well use all the bits in the kit, which included this humidity tent thingy

Given that you got a kit, the best advice is probably to follow their instructions. That corner should colonize in a few days.

yeah, use their instructions. Find out what parameters taht give you any dissatisfactory conditions. (ie, too wet , too dry, didn't colonize, contamination)
The kit is a good way to indicate your specific growing needs. You might live in a more humid area with high temps or whatnot, or just the oppositite. Not eveything is the same for everyone.
I had an outdoor flush today and it's been in high 80's with NO rain or humidity lately...
