Shoot me a pm if you would like a powerful custom laser built. 4th pic is a 1.3W 445nm laser burning thru some plastic makeup containers. Yes I was wearing proper safety goggles, otherwise I would be blind right now.

meaning most likely 9 out of 10 or even 10 out of 10 jars may get bacteria on them?

sterilization by boiling is not the best way but I've heard of it working for LCs. The only possible problem I can think of is if the medium carried endospores that need to be pressure cooked to be killed. For example BRF needn't be PCed, but most any other ground grain need be.

Yeah you want to sterilize it cause if you don't sterilize it then there are still live bacteria that will take over the agar before the mycelium

well we all know that you can do brf jars with just steam or non-pressured sterilization because of the types of endospores that inhabit brown rice, so Damion it follows that one could do this with non-pressured sterilization as well.

Edit: I should say though that you should at least steam sterilize for 30min with this project instead of the 15min of PCing it recommends. The substrate in the jars is thin and this is why the time is lowered but just as a precaution this is what I would recommend.

so i got my spore syringes friday from sporworks, they are awsome, even hooked me up w/ a free one. i did 4 jars with the method stated above, just using no pc. instead i steamed for an hour. i decided that i need to do things 100% safest and the only real way to make the spores i have last and get many more usages is to buy a pc. So im going to go ahead and sacrafice some money to hopefully save me money. Guess ill just have to put my grow on hold till friday. better safe than sorry i guess. where do yall think i could get a good deal. i mean the one at walmart was 70 bucks, and i really dont want that one. Anyone ever been to a kohls and seen them?

Look at thrift stores/goodwill/salvation army for a used pressure cooker.  Anything you get at walmart will be made in china and trash after a year or two at most.  If you really want to save money, get an AA and have it for life.  It's the best investment you can make.

listen to RR, I bought a cheapo PC (mirro) back when I started and I can't complain It's still going strong after a year and a half with quite a few grows (won't last too much longer), but eventually you will want an AA PC. I do. Plan ahead when you choose one because it's like RR said, it'll last for life so if you want a bigger one later, you may have to find a way to unload the other one.

If I spent that money on an AA back in the day instead of the one I bought. It was less than half the price of the AA, but it would have lasted thousands of times longer in use.
