why not? Just try it. Make sure the knife is sterile. I assume you want to see which works better?

Yeah you can do it, but why not just case the whole cake and you#'ll have a better overall yield :smile:  What you thinking of using for your casing mix?

I don't know why I still see posts debating cake or casing. Casing is the only way to go.

I agree that casings are way better, but I'll still do a cake when working with a new strain just to get prints off of.

i like to have cakes so I have something to occupy me, otherwise I'll screw with the casings too much and subconsciously sabotage them.
