I know its hard to be patient- especially when we first start. But REALLY. If you wait til you see pins before birthing, you WILL be glad you waited.
Im surprised cobweb killed your grow. Ive been lucky, and have never had any (knock, knock), but I thought it is easily treated w h2o2. I recently battled trich. Thats not something I would wish on my worst enemy. Every time I thought I had it licked, It popped right back up again.

I'm sorry man that sucks. I has some trich on one of my cakes this grow. Threw that sucker as far away from my house as I could. From what i've heard it's better just to cut your losses with trich.
Last time i pretty much lost everything due to me not having my own house and trying to grow secretly as well as my vast lack of experience. Cobweb did pop up on that fruiting cake i spoke of earlier but i just misted with some h2o2 a few time and the problem was taken care of.

Strange. Mine are very "normal" looking- just small- and very "watery" I guess. Meaning I loose more than the normal 90%. More like 95%. And, they are very clustery. Meaning I get 10-15 fruits from one pick. They stay attached to each other at the base. I got mine from a trade on here. They def deposit red spores, though. Not bright red, but way more red than purple. Its funny how many variations there can be within one "strain".

Well that tears it - been trying to make up my mind and I think I'll germinate some Redspore next...
Even though a is a is a some cubes are just more cubical than others.

Thats so strange. I havent had one fruit w/ a thick stem like those. Mine all are straight, thin, and hollow.

drop your fruiting temps by 5-10*, it will slow but you will get thicker more dence fruits.

95 F? That is pretty damn high. No wonder you have such stretchy mush. Try dropping down to 65 F or so. They will be dense as can be.

Obey said: Thanks Bate. This is SWIM's 2nd grow. The first was alacabenzi cased with rye, verm, and coco coir, inexperience caused cobweb contamination and almost everything was lost. But successfully swim has gotten some cambo's going. I plan to case again but cakes seem to be easier to handle when it comes to contamination.
I usually wait 3 or so days after 100% colonization before dunking. SWIM currently has 5 unpinned cakes in the FC. SWIM also has 1 cake that has been fruiting also for about 4 days. I'm hoping when I get home there will be enough matures that SWIM can take a trip.
Hey,
I have always thought of "Cambos" as referring to Paneolus Cambodginiensis.

Well the Cambo's i'm growing are cube's. I've gotten them from two different vendors. But I believe some of the pics above are PF Redspore. I do know the species your referring to Javadog, skinny looking pale little fellows.

I guess that could be a relative term,
Some call cambodians "cambos" and cambodginiensis "cams"
Others do the exact opposite and call cambodginiensis "cambos" and cambodians "cams" ....
I just call them pan cams to eliminate this kind of a mix up with my spawn,.....
I call Cambodians (cubes) "Cambos"
Speaking of the devil I just shook some pan cam jars yesterday!

JD I don't really suggest buying from these guys but spores 101 had some cube cambos. Their syringes don't seem to have many spores in them though. I got some cambo syringes from spore depot. 2 10cc with free shipping for like 12 bucks total. Those seemed to have more spores in them and totally colonized the shit out of some cakes in just a few days. I ate a few cambo's last night and they give a pretty nice trip. Not too visual but you'll laugh your ass off.

Hey there Professor, I currenly have some jars of pan. cambo colonizing as well. The mycelium is showing slight hues of green in some areas - in the jars as well as on an agar transfer that has grown out a bit. Is this normal coloring for pans mycelium? there are some photos and more description in this thread. Thanks for your input!

Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I havent ventured out much past cubes yet, so I was un-aware there was moren 1 CAM. I will make sure to clearify which species I am referring to.
Oh, those pics. The top ones that I posted are my thin-assed PFRS, and the bottom ones are Orissas from my last grow.
