Small mushrooms growing in my poo?

I went outside to my poo collection to take some to break up and pasteurize. I looked in the bag and there were quite a few small mushrooms growing out of the poo already. I've done lots of searching and can't find out whether this could be a problem or whether the pasteurization will take care of it?

I avoid gathering any poo that has mycelium in it. Pasteurizing would probably kill it off, but I would think that the mycelium that was growing in it would have consumed some of the nutrients.
If you have a big pile of poo, I would try to separate and discard any that has mycelium.

I just avoid throwing in obvious clumps of mushroom bodies. You don't have to be absolutely thorough, it'll be ok.

If the poo is still very poo like, then mushrooms growing in them is actually good, it tells you that the poo is ready to be pasteurized and used.

Thats good to know, because one bag I collected was a little bit fresher, because I got all the old stuff in the first bag. So I went on to find the next oldest poo which may have only been a few weeks old, we have had some fairly heavy rain this spring though.
