Wait till next week when they test their money and find traces of cocaine on all of the bills... they'll take all the money away from the people to print all new bills, right? ... yeah, didn't think so. Absolutely retarded...
-------------------- "Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say 'what should be the reward of such sacrifices?' Bid us and our posterity bow the knee, supplicate the friendship and plough, and sow, and reap, to glut the avarice of the men who have let loose on us the dogs of war to riot in our blood and hunt us from the face of the earth? If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom - go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!" - Samuel Adams; Speech at the State House, Philadelphia, August 1, 1776

SuperD said: Interesting. I doubt it was anything intentional, but don't they perform tests before mass marketing a product meant for consumption? I can only assume either these tests weren't initially performed when the product was released, or somehow they've gotten sloppy in the alkaloid extraction process. Where do all those bulk extracted alks end up anyway?
What makes you think its possible to remove the cocaine?
I'm assuming coca cola has cocaine if they still use coca extracts, as do many other products.
One more example of the drug laws being stupid. A qualitative ban is unfeasible and pointless.

I'm sure someone would be dead from a caffeine overdose WAY before they could catch a minor cocaine buzz from Red Bull Cola. They would have to drink barrels and barrels of the stuff.

No cocaine found in Red Bull Web posted at: 6/21/2009 4:3:38 Source ::: THE PENINSULA
BY MOHAMMED IQBAL
DOHA: Laboratory tests on Red Bull have found that the popular energy drink, which is sold in Qatar, is free from cocaine, the Supreme Council of Health said yesterday.
However, tests conducted on samples of another energy drink, Red Bull Cola, have proved that it contains a percentage of alcohol which is not allowed in energy drinks, said the Council. The tests were conducted at the central laboratory of the Supreme Council of Health.
Samples of Red Bull were collected from the market for the tests recently, following reports that traces of cocaine were found in some Red Bull products in other countries, including Germany.
“The authorities concerned in the state will take all necessary procedures to withdraw and ban any drink that is proved to be harmful to health,” said a statement issued by the Council yesterday.
Sources from the Council told The Peninsula yesterday that Red Bull Cola, which was found to be containing alcohol as an ingredient, is not currently sold in the Qatari market. It is not permitted in Qatar to openly sell any drink containing alcohol.
Only one shop was found to be selling the product and it has already withdrawn it, the sources added.
Enquiries with some leading hypermarkets yesterday revealed that they were not selling Red Bull Cola. However, Red Bull energy drink is widely popular in Qatar and still enjoys high demand.
