Getting the light at the shrooms

ok i can't have a see through any part on the fruiting chamber for i need it too look like just a normal big rubbermade bin sitting there... so how can i get light to the shrooms... can i just take the cover off for like 2 hours a day and let it get the room light? if not how?

I read someone's grow log where they took a light socket and like a 20w little bulb and put it through a hole in the top or side. The light wouldn't escape and it wasn't hot enough to effect the temp. Just need to set it neer an outlet.

Course it will.
No reason it wouldn't
12 hours would be better, but 2 hours a day should be enough to start it fruiting.
Fuckers may grow every damn direction without the steady light to guide them though..

Mushroom Cultivator indicated that a red light was best for viewing your mushroom casing productivity because this light would not enduce pinning. They are very sensative to light and any will impact a direction in which to grow. I don't believe a constant supply is necessary.

alright dude then, once i actually get to that point probly at night time i'm gonna pull the fruiting container outta my closet take the lid off with the lights on and let it sit there for like 3 hours... will the humidity drop too much this way? maybe i could put clear plastic wrap over it for the 3 hours it sits out

The seran wrap is a good idea, that way, your cakes or casings (sorry I forgot which you are doing) will get light, while you maintain a somewhat closed environment to keep out contams.

I say use LEDs they are cheap as hell and will run for a long ass time off just a 9 volt battery.

would a blue LED light be optimal.. i heard that they really like the blue spectrum..
