Penicillin in Liquid Cultures

I made a few LC's w/ the babybottle method and didn't have any Si sealent on hand so I used some caulking stuff thats working alright untill a few extractions and then bacteria seem to move in because it doesn't seal so well after a while. It got me thinking that I should put some penicillin in w/ the cultures when I make them. I have acess to pleanty of the stuff and I figure that even in normal made LC's, it will reduce the chance of bacterial contam. If it matters it is cube and Psilocybe cyanescens myc. in the cultures.
Has anyone tried this w/ any tips or a better antibiotic? Would it affect the myc.?

'a few extractions'?
Extract everything all at once. When you broach that seal, the jar has been compromised. Harvest all you want, discard the rest.

i've never had a problem using an LC multiple times w/ Si sealent as it reseals itself after puncture. Just this caulking crap I used isn't as good at doing that. Wondering about the penicillin as a precaution against bacteria in LC's

anti-biotics don't effect fungus so it shouldn't be bad for the mycelium, don't know if it will be effective though.

Don't use penicillin, use good technique.
Gentamicin is autoclavable, that's the one to go with if you are going to do this. But it's not a good idea.

Isn't penicillin a fungus itself?

It's derived from fungus metabolites. No, that doesn't mean that cubensis metabolites fight bacteria.
