USPS delivery confirmation labels

Will USPS track my parcel with delivery confirmation if I simply apply a delivery confirmation label and add a 75c stamp in addition to regular postage? I ship anonymously and want to use delivery confirmation for Priority flat-rate parcels that I use Priority stamps ($4.95) with. Will adding the additional 75c stamp cover the 70c fee or must I deal with a person at the counter (not an option)?

You can just add the extra postage with your priority stamp and the DC label. That'll do it. Also, delivery confirmation is not tracking like you'd get with UPS or FedEx. It's simply a confirmation that your package was delivered, nothing more.

Yeah I know, I shouldn't have called it a tracking number.
Thanks! One more question... If I'm shipping a large Prio flat-rate box ($13.xx postage) and slap on 3 Prio stamps (4.95 each) and a DC label, am I good to drop it in the parcel drop box (not the blue mailbox with a size limit of 13 oz) of a PO lobby? I ask because larger flat-rate boxes don't have a designated stamp area so I wasn't sure if there was a size limit on stamping stuff versus paying for a label.
Edit: I think I've found the answer. I didn't realize the 13 oz limit in blue mailboxes was actually a Homeland Security measure requiring you to hand "untraceable" (stamped) packages over 13 oz to an actual person at the PO. What do they do when you hand it to them? Do you have to stand in line or can you just drop it off at the counter, make eye contact with the clerk and be on your way?

Yes, you still have to stand in line like the rest of the people there. They don't specifically 'tag' you to the package you are mailing at the counter, but rest assured if something fishy comes up later, they will review the surveillance tapes to try and identify who mailed what.

In that case, I'll be sticking to <13 oz. packages. Thank you very much

They have cameras but i don't think they save the tape very long. Except for international mailing, then they save it. Have you considered private mailing services? For a slight extra charge they will do all that for you. And no cameras.
