P. salicinus should have some bluing. If it did not, it was probably a different species. Also, I'm not sure if 5 medium sized specimens is enough to feel the effects, these are rather tiny mushrooms.

UpDATE!!!

So, after reviewing many photos, and comparing to my own collection and photos of this mushroom, I realized that I may have been collecting species of Nolanea or maybe even Leptonia (both split off from Entoloma).

Well, Alan R. has been pestering me for a while for the spore print pictured above.  After a MSSF meet up and what was supposed to be a Shroomery gathering, we ended up messing with agar and petris, and hauling out his microscope.  I gave him the print earlier, and we took a look at the spores under the scope.

If it was an Entoloma, Nolanea, or Leptonia the spores would be angular, if it was a Pluteus, the spores should be smooth.

Well, results are in, and the spores are smooth- it is indeed a Pluteus:yesnod:

Bruise blue ?

I've heard lots of conflicting info on these.

They often turn blue, though it is usually subtle.

In other words, sometimes they won't turn noticeably blue at all, sometimes they will turn blue but only slightly, and few will bruise blue very obviously.
