From this series of shots, we can actually see that the pace of growth isnt constant, the mushroom gains more and more height per hour as time passes.

I will post the numbers later.

i always had the feeling that darkness help the shrooms grow.

now it is proven somehow, although i need more detailed data. in my next crop :wink:

so here is the diagram:



Average growth rate:    16.41 mm per hour  :laugh:

My exact feelings minas
When I reduced my light hours to less than 5 the difference was deffinatelly noticeable.
The 12/12 or 10/14 light phase that is suggested is total overkill.
if you supply the mush with 30 mins twice a day they`ll be perfect.

CONCLUSIONS

a) The rate of growth of mushrooms is NOT constant. It increases as time passes. for example, 8 hours after the first photo the growth rate was 1 mm per hour while 42 hours after the first photo the growth rate was 2.66 mm per hour.

b) The rate of growth is higher in darkness than in light conditions.

a) sorry about the "research" word guyz, my foolishness. it was a joke not correctly spoken. :|

b) i think that light initiates for some good hours (18) pinning and then switching on to a 2-3 hours a day intense lighting, then normal not-so-bright natural light on the room.

the lines were very thin and the jpeg compression disappeared them.
