Alright, that's it. I'm starting a cacti collection.
Hopefully, in 50 years, I will be old and asian enough to have an awesome collection like that.

Technically, if you are knit-picky yes it is. However as far as L. Williamsii is concerned so is every part of the plant. You can however, with a little detective work find places or friends that will send them to you. So do some detective work

No sir, there are plenty of mescaline containing cacti that are not illegal to posses. Its extracting the mescaline that is the illegal part. I have plenty of Pedro, Torch, and Golden Rods, none of which are illegal to have.

No, there was a huge discussion on this a long time ago. Mescaline is a controlled substance, having a plant containing mescaline means you are in possession of a controlled substance. Now, here is where it matters, T. pachanoi/peruvianus/etc are not gone after as they are not as widely known as "Peyote." They are sold in stores still, but lets say you were busted for having a loph grow and were known to extract and sell mescaline, if they knew you had peruvianus as well they could count it as a plant containing mescaline and tack it on your charges.

No, you are wrong. It is not illegal to possess San Pedro or other mescaline-containing cacti. Yes Peyote is illegal to possess but as far as I know that is the only one. Like I said before, and you kind of added at the end. If you get caught extracting mescaline, then yes, that's when it becomes illegal.

Penalties for manufacture or sale can be as high as five years in jail and a fine of $15,000, with a penalty of up to one year and fine of $5000 for possession. The possession and cultivation of the San Pedro Cactus per se for decorative purposes is legal, but, if one were to extract the mescaline from the cactus, then the penalties for mescaline would apply.
The key is they could technically call it illegal, do they, no. But they can.

The key is per se, it is legal per se. Mescaline is illegal under the Convention on Psychotropic Substances Link to information on the Convention. This means that the plant is illegal due to the alkaloids it contains, it is not enforced and as long as neurosoup is not that influential to the DEA it will not be enforced in the near future.
Let's stop derailing this though, I did enjoy the video.

I could definitely make out when he was saying Caespositens. I almost felt like I could interperet his words through his tone and the way he pointed out specifics on the cacti.
COOL vid man. Never seen clusters like that before( creamed my pants)

Oh yeah.
I did some ACE detective work and I have a cluster that looks like on of those smaller clumps of Caespositens on it's way.
Hope it gets through customs!

*caespitosa
all mescaline containing cacti are technically illegal in the US, including san pedro. it is just a matter of enforcement.
back on topic please

Impossible? You must not live in the Artic Circle . I've bought specimens from all over the world, and I live in the US.

Well I figure they wouldn't worry much about a little old cactus. Hopefully.
I really liked that caespitosa cluster that was completely round. So semetrical. Art:D

Unless you're pushing mescaline in pill form, the DEA probably doesn't care about your cacti collection. Not to say that one shouldn't be cautious, but it's the enforcement thing like Dr. mentioned.

Customs is the possible problem. Not the DEA busting down your door. The DEA isn't as big as they would have you believe. They are worried more about meth, extacy, coke, etc.
