Planning to head down to Astoria to a few spots I know this weekend. :grin:

Found just over one wet ounce (azures) in about twenty minutes of digging in one popular spot; until the LAW creeped up on me. Park rangers are sort of like mall cops though, and are not paid enough to chase somebody into dense brush just to write them a ticket, unless you really piss them off. Weather has been better lately for pickin' so you will probably uncover a great deal if your habitat is right. Take pics if possible.

Anyone who lives in Astoria care to comment how long the season usually lasts? I want to get down there around Thanksgiving. What are the chances of me finding anything?

hey kevin.
if you can go, go.
it;s on.
the season lasts unmtil the weather says stop.
generally freezing cold, or not enough rain.
they can fruit from sept thru feb continuously.
they are out.
got a few  :wink: yesterday.

They are out & around A town, both north over the river & south along the coast.
But, it's been a weird year. 6T  :tongue:

wasjust there and the fruits are coming up strong! found about 3 wet pounds in about 3 hours of picking and now the snipped stem butts are colonizing wet cardboard with a vengeance!! will try and post pics soon- I am so damn computer illiterate. oh well If you want to drive, I will be your guide.
