To Case Oder Not to Case That IS the question

lol im going to have like 1 colonized 1/2 pint BRF jar. case oder nicht case? what would be my best option? to just let it grow from the cake and risk a shitty fruit or go for a gamble for more shrooms but with increase chance in contamination? are my fears but a mist? or do they have substance? i would like your personal opinions. danke :smile:

Ok, so why did you end up with only 1 colonized cake to begin with? What I would do, is let it fruit if you want mushies right off the bat. You can take that cake after the first flush and spawn it into some poo, that works awesome. no contams, it just grows. then case with 50/50+ or whatever, lots oif shrooms. sorry, i am tripping balls right now

LOL! i wish i was tripping. but o well that will come in time. well many reasons,i took spores from a dried mushroom and didnt let it hydrate for a long time, and i dont think i injected enough spores into some jars, one jar has some contaminants. and i think cause i let some of the substrate sit before i cooked it, some fermented maybe and turned into alcohol and sterilized my jars or made it incapable of growing. All those things added together gives me like one jar. plus i like checked on them everyday. I have learned, dont check them every damn day! just be patient cause if you arent it will take longer.. so yeah ive learned lots of valuable lessons. i need to get some more vermiculite, some and rye and just all kinds of new supplies. good luck on your journey!

yowzers, that sounds like a lot of catastrophy. yeah, the trip was (and still is, i took maoi), fun. now i'm listening to mr rogers being interviewed on npr. not that this is relevant. oh yeah, case. do the poo thing. poo poo poo. poo is your friend.

Mr. Rogers was always a creepo in my opinion but i dont know maybe hes a really nice enlightened guy... i dont know. that would be interesting to really know though... memories of childhood... ....
