Anyone have success working for mainstream companies?

I'm asking because I have been having literally '0' look finding jobs- I've been trying the past month on some web sites and I can't find shit---- no one has replied and all the craigslist jobs seem like spam!
so I checked out the ups website and saw that they actually have job positions open for delivering--- and I would bet this may be true for many mainstream companies, so I am wondering if any one here has ever worked for one of the big companies and if you think it is worth it to make some cash??
also gotta ask- do most of them drug test?\

Fuck yeah man, get driving in the postal service.
I do that ~6 months a year over here, LOVE IT.
Time flies driving and you got no boss essentially.

Starbucks hired me basically right away, no drug tests. It depresses the hell out of me thinking about the sort of people that are in there every day, but all in all it's easy, you get free coffee/pastries, and it's a job.

I got a friend that works for UPS. They pay great, work with a school schedule, and have benefits. Go for it.

I have a vaporstar piece which attaches to the bong. it is a vaporizer- I actually started to mostly vape- ill take one bong hit ever few days maybe- but now I mainly vape and have been saving up so much budda- not only that but I feel no negative side effects from vaping and I use the leftovers to make firecrackers which get me higher then vaping and smoking combined.
vaporizers also i think the high is trippier then smoking in a way because of how clean it feels

Yeah, I think it would be interesting to remain a very good employee, then one day fail a drug test. Would they really get rid of ya? I mean, if you never gave the company any problems...I'm afraid I'd simply disappointed at how judgmental people really could be. But I've always wondered why people think postie is such an awful job! I mean, you jsut have to drive around and give people their shit! That's a job that could easily be done stoned! Myk

No drug tests over here in Australia
I was pickup though, a standard 5 hour shift is usually 3:30pm - 8:30pm.
3:30, sigh in keys, get duty board, get van 4:00 pickup post office A 4:15 pickup post office B 4:30 pickup post office C 5:00 drop shit back at depot, drive out to first pillar box (usually a 30 - 40 minute drive) 6:00 waiting on 1st box, right on 6:00 (service standard) open with electronic key You have a map with ~30 - 40 boxes on it (usually 1 or 2 suburbs), few minutes per box, absolutely HUNT around. ... ... ... 7:30 drop back your pillar box mail, then sit and watch TV for 60 minutes 8:30 hometime
Easiest.job.ever
$24/hr standard, double time ($48/hr) on Saturday/Sunday.

I think my only problem with this might be that I don't know all the streets- Is that a problem? Do they give you a map or something?
I have a navy in my honda so I'm not even sure I know how to use a map

Yep, no nav for us over here.
You get a folder with ~2 A4 pages listing the post offices and what times, then after 6:00 they have a list of the 30 - 40 boxes and there street.
Then you got ~10 A4 maps, with little stickers for the post offices and the boxes and highlighter on your route.
I am a fucking ninja at reading the refidex, I find everything first go.

Over here, $24/hr standard, double time ($48/hr) on Saturdays/Sundays.
The kicker is, you sit down for half your shift and watch TV The rest of the time you cruise about (with noone watching over you) at your own pace... if you want to stop at McDonalds for a big mac... you can do whatever, fuck em.
As long as the mail on your duty board gets collected, you can do whatever the fuck you want.
I used to stop off at an arcade mid shift and get a solid 90 minutes of Street Fighter 4, ALL PAID
