Need help with FAE

Alright. So recently I have run into a problem. I need to go on a suprise, 1 week trip to the beach. My set up includes 7 cakes in a large tupperware container with perlite and a lot of holes in the tank. I fan manually. I'm worried about how my little guys are gonna hold up with out the fanning for a week, so I'm trying to come up with something to deliver fresh air to them. Any ideas? Would an air pump help?

Hmmmm. The house will be locked, so thats not really an option =/ However, the fan might work. Since I have holes in my tank, would it be possible to just set up a big fan on a timer right outside of the tank?

i think if you have enough small holes, maybe if you have it up off the ground and have an fan on in the area. just make sure you have plent of holes on the bottom too. that will help with the humidity too.

Shoot me a pm if you would like a powerful custom laser built. 4th pic is a 1.3W 445nm laser burning thru some plastic makeup containers. Yes I was wearing proper safety goggles, otherwise I would be blind right now.

buy a cheap extractor fan and attach it to the side of your tub. wire it to a timer set for 10 mins every 2 hours or something?

he should have the fruiting chamber raised anyway, and plenty of holes drilled on all side's.

Check out the Poor Man's Pod. http://www.shroomtalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=28129
All you need is an air pump, air diffuser, and some perlite. That will give you PLENTY of FAE and humidity. I wouldn't bother with the fanning because you won't be there.
Plenty of people set up monotubs in a 'set it and forget it' manor, but you should be better off with the air pump giving you moisture and FAE. That’s definitely what I’d do … plus this would definitely be an upgrade to your existing setup.
If you choose to go this route then you might as well upgrade to a larger fruiting chamber too.

yea but monotubs are different, and i've yet to see one trusted cultivator say that an air pump puts out enough cfm for proper fae.
i'd just go with the large box fan and a timer if it was me, but then again i'm not a trusted cultivator.

You need to think about water delivery, not just FAE. If you have a fan that can kick on for 15mins a few times a day, not pointing directly at your terrarium, great. But how will you keep them from drying out without misting? Your best bet (if they don't have pins yet), would be to toss them in the fridge until you return home. If you just fan them without misting for a whole week, they will be dry as toast when you return. Another option would be to drill a hole the size of a drinking straw in the middle of each cake, then put the straw in, fill with water, good to go. I have no experience with this, but have seen good results. Do a search for that "tek".

A box fan in the room will dry up the perlite in no time if no one is there to keep it damp. How fast it dries it up is up to several obvious variables.
I hear ya, but one decent size air pump will put out enough air to displace the air in a tote 100 times over per day. It's plenty IMO ... but I don't put much stock in post count or “trusted cultivator”. Good info is good info .. bad info is bad info.
I'm using 1 air pump to drive a fogger reservoir for TWO 4-teir mini greenhouses. I leave the air pump and fan inside the greenhouse on 24/7, but I put the fogger on a timer. Similar to what’s shown here, but the fan in the greenhouse is not shown:

Alright, I think I've decided on my set up. Im going to put an air pump inside of the tank, along with a mist/fog machine. A few questions
-What size air pump will I need? -If I have an air pump, how many holes will I need in the tank, and how big? -Anyone have any ideas on how to construct a cheap mister/fogger? If not can someone direct me to where I can buy one?
Thanks for the help guys

Dude ... it's a sketch not a written specification.
The fogger fogs, the reservoir reservoirs, and the air pump ... pumps air. Fog exits the reservoir and is ducted to a fruiting chamber. I personally prefer to have a fan/blower inside the FC to keep the fog from swamping a specific location.
Thanks for the constructive criticism though

Just going by what i see in the sketch. People now days seem to have a lack of respect for electricity. Erikm if you dont think that's a big deal then your not too bright. I see so much idiotic shit when it comes to people and how they think half assing and rigging electrical wont come back and haunt them later. Hell just the other day in an attic there was some 12/3 wire that someone cut, They just twisted the wire together and used electrical tape to hold it together. I would like to meet that dumb ass and let him know how stupid that was. Erikm wait till you get stuck to an outlet cause the electrician messed up the wiring. then you will def respect it.
