freebasing neurotransmitters

I was just wondering: since you have to freebase DMT to make it work without other chemicals to help it reach the brain, what would happen if you freebased other neurotransmitters, like serotonin? Has anyone tried this?

Freebasing serotonin is a bad idea...
Dopamine might be awesome, though.

I remember watching a video in which Alexander Shulgin is synthesising serotonin. Do you mind explaining why freebasing it would be a bad idea?

Elevated serotonin levels have little to no effect on mood. A massive surge of it can make you more interested in things around you, but it also throws off a lot of your body's regulatory systems like thirst, hunger, etc.
Oh, and you can even get something called serotonin sickness where you get massive headaches from serotonin fucking shit up inside your brain.
Dopamine, though, could actually get you high without bad side effects...they give it as a vasoconstrictor to raise patients' blood pressure.
Drugs are more effective at getting you high, though, because excess neurotransmitters will usually just be absorbed by the system.

I will have to add "freebased dopamine" to my list of drugs to do before I die. Thank you, Synesthetic.
I just tried to give you a good rating but apparently you opted out? I had NO IDEA you could do that. How did you?

a phenolic amine neurotransmitter C10H12N2O that is a powerful vasoconstrictor and is found especially in the brain, blood serum, and gastric mucous membrane of mammals
sero- + tonic + 1-in
sero meaning contrict it doesnt sound like the best thing to free base
powerful vasoconstrictor

Didn't know that serotonin was a powerful vasoconstrictor on top of that, man.
Oh, go to "view your ratings" and there'll be an option near the top to opt out. GTFO tricked me into opting out. It's a long story.
