oh. not in horse poop? I remember reading that horse poop is my best best in cali not cow poop.  so if not in horse poop what would be the best substrate to look for??

thanks a million for anyone taking time to respond.

look in irrigated lawns that are brand new for panaelous subbalteatus and if its been raining  for a while, then look in horse poo/stable shaving piles for panaelous subbalteatus.

Subbs grow in horse dung in California.  Its cow dung that never has any active in my state.

Due to the amount of rain we have been getting it is probably better to look for subbs in irrigated lawns.

Usually it is dry all summer in California and only rains november - april.

Sorry man, you are right, of course. It was kind of a mechanical post by me, because someone posted about hunting in cow pastures in Cali earlier today. I should spend more time reading posts properly. Of course you can look for subbs anywhere near horses.

Yeah, I was just correcting my post while you posted. It was the "Cow dung in Cali" post earlier today that I was thinking of before I realized that he wasn't talking about cow pastures.
