yes as long as you are only doing brf/verm cakes and not grain jars than boiling is fine

yes you can steam sterilise pf tek substrates in a pot. thats how im doing it and 14 jars later all going well.

Be sure to steam correctly, watch out for the pot boiling dry, you want to steam for 90 minutes after steam escapes the lid not when it starts to boil.

I do 2 hours from when it boils and that works fine for me, my pot is quite small and steam escapes the lid a few minutes after boiling, which i dont trust for timing so i just give it that extra half hour to be safe.
