Possible Contam???

My friend has a dozen jars incubating in a drawer. No sign of mycelium yet... but on one jar there are these little black things with while around them pressed up against the side of the jar. I may post pictures if it is necessary. Got any ideas what the hell it is???

wait a few days, if this contamination continues, elaborate on the situation.

it usually takes around 5 days to see mycelium growing

Well, I've isolated the jar. There is a small amount of mycelium growing near the innoculation point, but it may be some type of mold because its right near the contam...

Well, as of today the jar is showing growth of what looks like mycelium around the possible infected area... The rest are not showing growth, but I wouldn't expect them to since they are in at room temp. I'm not too sure what P. cubensis mycelium looks like compared to white contams and cobweb, so I can't tell if its mycelium or not... also, something else odd that I noticed. After my got his jars ready for sterilization, he ended up leaving them for 5 days without sterilization or innoculation. And after those 5 days, some kind of white contam showed up. It was fuzzy and could be mistaken for mycelium...

Had a similar thing happen to me. Everyone told me to chuck the jars. But it was just clumps of spores.
