So this happened while I was at work today, the first veil broke, then another, then another.

I've got one cake that's going crazy,

Well, not crazy by this boards standards, but this is my first grow.

The rest of my cakes look like this:


So what should I do?  Should I harvest now or should I wait until more are ready?  Should I wait until all the fruits on that particular cake are ready and then harvest? What should I do? This cake has several pins with brown heads about the size of a pea.

Also, how long before spores drop?  I don't want to chew on a black mushroom, thanks.

I would harvest them now. I think that the concentration of active ingredients is best when the veil ruptures. By the way what are these?

These are transkei psilocybe cubesis from South Africa!

Aren't you supposed to pick a whole cake clean all at once?  I don't know why but that's what I thought.

Oh I don't know..the other I was picking mutant B+ balls randomly from my tray and had the most wicked trip. Maybe u refer to flushes like when the first mushrooms go away they make room for the next flush and so on. But if I was you I would definitely munch on the big ones.

Man, I'm really tempted... Do you think you could guess the weight?  I have two options.  I was going to trip tomorrow with a good friend, but this friend knows the mushrooms might not be ready by that time.

If there's only enough for me, I can justify eating them right now.  What do you guys think? About how much would they weigh wet at this point?

These are half pint cakes, stacked.  The big ones are probably about four inches long, the base of the stem is about an inch wide and the caps are about an inch and a half long.

Also, I've noticed something interesting.  At least for me, the cakes on the bottom of the stack have 3 times as many pins coming from all sides. The ones on the top have four or five pins on the top that are growing quite slowly and developed later than all of the top stacked ones.  Maybe it would be a good idea to stack a weight on top, like something hockey puck size on top of cakes.  The bottom ones are churning 'em out while the top ones are all meh.

Any guesses as to the weight?

I dont know where people read this, but you dont need to pick all at once.

Pick each fruit as they are ready. No sense in picking pins or small fruits, let them grow.

When growing from multispore they dont all grow at the same time, and sometimes pins that are from later flushes appear aswell.

Pick the ones that are ready, then let the smaller ones catch up.

hey all, i just plucked the ones that looked ready, only 16 grams wet.

I was wondering, if I do the lemon tek and I haven't tripped in a year, will this do the job?  I normally like to turn the night sky plaid and watch alley cats morph into monkeys.

Also, how do you lemon tek fresh shrooms?

Dude I would go out in the forest and eat them all at once. The last time I said to myself that this unique experience must be repeated (it was my first try ever) but with a double or triple dose more than I did. I've never felt so euphoric...those mutant balls really kick ass. I don't know how much yours weight but 2-3 mature mushrooms will be fine for a kickass trip.

I think that the fresh musrhooms taste so much better that dried ones. I believe chocolate is a good alternative to munch on along with the mushrooms cause there are some similar molecules and shit and all in all they taste better. I've only eaten blue cheese and chocolate and it tasted fucking awesome. Also as Terrence Mackenna says the chocolate contains some MAO inhibitors.

I wish I could join u with my mutants :laugh: When I first ate mushrooms I felt so liberated that I started talking to myself and rolling down on the carpet. Eat the with chocolate or as they are. They taste like a mushroom but not a tasty one.

Yes, yes yes yes, the chopsticks were a dumb idea.  I actually noticed a spot before anyone mentioned it and took them out to find them all with tiny green splotches.  I just wish I would have noticed it earlier.  It doesn't seem to have spread anywhere else, so I think I'm good.

Anyway, yeah, if anyone has read the book true hallucinations by Terrence McKenna, I heard the carrier frequency that Dennis McKenna talked about.  If I do the crazy hum thing that Dennis did does anyone think that it will break me for a month like in the book?

I recorded the carrier frequency into my voice recorder and it's a dead on B flat.

hmm, I wonder what that means.

i tripped two hits of sydney one night camping with some friends in a town three hours away from mine in the mountains.
right as we had started tripping a few ppl started walking towards our campsite, they said they had graham crackers, and some ppl behind them had the rest of the ingredients for s'mores.
we were like okay cool i like s'mores.
well about 15 ppl walked up to our campsite some dressed in goth clothes, the others in like "fake" suits, i guess you could call them.
well anyway, one kid was talking to us about an "amphalactic reactor"(thats what we got out of it anyway) of some plant that was burning and crackling, when all of a sudden one of the other dudes lights this ball on a chain on fire and then another one, and started doing crazy fire dances. some girl joins him and they start doing like some crazy sex fire dance thing.
at first i was like cool, these kids are prolly on some intense drugs coming out here and having a show, so i asked them "hey what kind of drugs are you guys on?"
one of the kids responded "i think this guy is slightly drunk, but other than that, none"
thats when i thought it was wierd, lol
one of the girls i was with told them we were on acid too, and i was like wtf, i dont want them to know that.
well anyway, they ended up leaving, and we went about our trip, walked around a small ass town in the middle of the night, histerically laughed at this girl, b/c we were staring intensly at a vending machine trying to figure it out, and we thought she knew we were on drugs. lol
but yea, in the morning we found their little seance point hidden up on a hill, with burnt bible paper scattered around it

scary, but cool trip nonetheless.
