I have smoked it and made very conservative seed extractions in the neighborhood of 15-30 seeds.
I actually have a freshly dried flower at home as we speak, and I will probably smoke it tonight.
My neighbor has them planted all over his yard.
They are Datura inoxia, just like the one in the OP's pics.

Just read the trip reports on it. It never turns out well. I wouldn't touch it.

oh yeah, the theory was thats why witches were portrayed on brooms: they used broomhandles to plug datura, then "fly" around as they got high and fucked straight for 72h at a sabbath.

I have smoked the dried flowers and leaves.
Both seem to have similiar effects.
There is definite dry-mouth and throat.
Sedative effects, not necessarily pleasant or unpleasant.
I have smoked marijuana with it and drank a few beers, and it added a certain daze to an ordinary night of weed and beer.
It seems to be "safe" smoking small amounts (1 flower or 1 leaf), though I am sure that it could cause medical problems in some people.
It is not the type of thing that most folks would enjoy, as there is a certain dirtiness to the feeling that smoking Datura produces.
As for the tea, I started with 15 seeds steeped in acidic water.
Experienced the same dry mouth and actually felt as if I had taken a mild stimulant.
I took a tea from about 30 seeds later on and experienced more dry mouth, and eventually became drowsy as a definite result of the tea.
Clearly, I was not hellbent on enducing delerium and I still am not.

I'm pretty sure witches used mandrake and henbane as their sources of tropanes.

I extracted mandrake into PGA and let it evaporate on to some herb.
I liked the creepy effects of it, so I smoked it pretty regularly for about a week.
I ended up with a nasty rash on the soft sides of my arms.
When I went to the doctor and showed him, he got all psyched up.
I think he was excited about my rash, as if he had never seen anything like it.
He was all giddy and went and got a blacklight under which to look at my rash.
It cleared up pretty quickly, but I gets no more mandrake.
No telling what it did to my insides.

I've used bits of datura and enjoy it. Sometimes when it hits just right you feel like you're walking through a dream and it's fantastic. I'm going to be in california next week and hopefully I hit a good harvest. Want some Entropy?

What's wrightii?
Are you talking about the OP's pics?
I thought they were a dead ringer for Datura inoxia.

After looking at some pics, I think my neighbor has wrightii. The leaves on a wrightii look a little fuzzier than inoxia's leaves, huh? I think both wrightii and inoxia have five points though. Here are some pics of inoxia from a few different angles:

But 5 of the "points" on inoxia are only folds, not points.
Here is a wrightii that looks to have 10 points.

datura is some scary stuff, but there is a strange attraction i have felt towards it. so i've been considering trying it someday (most likely many years down the road, im still young and relatively inexperienced). but just considering, who knows.
it would be cool if the people in the thread who have tried it would write up some reports and link em.

if you're gonna try it, you should make sure you do a very low dose at first and have a trip sitter. make sure you research this drug, it's dangerous.
