pasteurizing question

Stamets says not to pass 140 F when pastuerizing. This is suppose o be carried out for 2 hours. Everyone here advocates 170 for one hour to 1/2 hour. Are they jst saving time by upping the temp?

I believe Stamets is talking about a mushroom compost, that is already naturly pasturized.

The bulk of what peep's are talking about HERE. Is straight poo.

So if you are going to pastuerize.......... 150 for 2 hours won't cut it for compost and manure?

I would go 165 for two hours..............

Use a meat thermometer in it & do it dry in the oven. Then hydrate with boiled water cooled w/tight lid on it......to under 165.....................6T
