Has anyone here seen this movie? If not I highly reccomend it. I watched it on mushrooms and I couldn't even sleep afterwards because of it...extremely thought provoking. If youhave seen it, I would love to hear your thoughts on it...

My memory of this movie seems more like MY MEMORIES than memories of a movie that I have watched. Very deep.

I would love to be able to memorize some of the quotes from the movie, but due to the altered state I was in at the time alot of the movie is very foggy right now. Some of the conversations were quite deep and confusing to me at the time, I think I need to see it again...

Waking Life, Amilee, and Pi?ero were ground-breaking films this year. We've been blessed. Peace/CJ

I forget his exact words, but my favorite quote from the movie is from the guy named Speedy. He was quoting someone else when he said "realizing that you're a charactor in someone else's dream.....that's self realization".
That quote has really changed the way I think about life. There's a lot of wisdom in those words.

yeah ive been lazy too but lately my laziness has helped... smoking pot has been waking me up to shit the past few times ive smoked, maybe it just helps me to realize what i dont want to deal with by opening up my head.
i believe the curley haired guy said that when you see yourself in someone elses dreams in someone elses life and not looking at yourself you see who you really are. it changed me too that whole movie is bad ass and Mr. Linklatter is a great film maker. i would also reccomend to you The Dangerous Lives Of Alter Boys. its not by Richard Linklatter a great look into a lot of things though. and another of Richard Linklatters films i would recommend is Slackers. or slacker whichever one is by Richard Linklatter.

Thanks for the link. Here's my quote
In reply to:
and as one realizes that one is a dream figure in another person's dream....that is self-awareness!
I love that. The mans name is Timothy "Speed" Levitch. I remember reading some magazine that he was in where he talked about having this incredible experience on mushrooms. I forget what he said exactly, but he talked about how he could communicate with every tree, bush and blade of grass.

Rono, why would you even NEED to watch Waking Life on mushrooms? Go back and watch it again sober... it is completely mind-blowing without tripping and you'll gain a lot more from it. A friend of mine took me to the Globe Theater in Calgary when it was playing last year and as we left the theater after I had the realization that the whole film had made perfect sense to me. That's just indicative of the kind of space I've been in. Does this mean that I am awake?

Actually I had no intention of watching it, since I had never even heard of the movie...but Scratcher was going to bed and I was still tripping, so he put the movie on for me to watch while I finished my trip...I'm glad he did!

I saw Timothy "Speed" Levitch on Conan O' Brien a few years ago. He was promoting his autobiography, or a documentary about him...something like that. A very intruiging character....I'd like to read that article you mentioned.

Yeah, it was a pretty cool article, and I can't for the life of me remember where I read it.
I just remember it showed a picture of him sitting in the park in a yoga position with a big smile on his face.
