Libs in Lancaster UK
    #1042674 - 11/11/02 06:58 AM (21 years, 4 months ago)

So Ive flown all the way over to this country from the US to study at lancaster university and i havent found one frigging LIBERTY CAP yet despite every acre of land 'round here is a sheep/cow field.

Its been raining non-stop for the past week or so and why wont the mushrooms grow?  And what about the cyans?

Are there any hunters out here in Lancaster, UK that know of any fields and might be willing to take a disheartened American on a little hunting expedition?  would really really appreciate it before the frost sets in.

It hasn't been the best year for lib caps. The season started late, frosts started early. Fields that normally have loads have none and fiels that normally have none have loads

I'll go find someone from Lancaster, bbl.

In my area, the mian feilds for sheep/cows are either over grazed, have a moss base, chemicly fertilized regulary or ploughed and re sewed in the last 2 years. I found more on 200 yards of a roadside ditch than on a couple of acres of land when the season had reahced it's peak altho the feild I was looking in had quite long grass which meant i would have missed lots.

I think you're better searching large open feilds where the animals have alot of space to move around.

Any Libs I do find these days are all rotten and infested with little bugs.:(

i found a small amount of libs today in those rolling fields and the cows never once gave me a consideration.  at least i know they are here and growing.  i should have enough for a fun night tonite.

you seem to know the campus well...how has your hunting been?

no time for hunting for me unfortunatelly, and I 'm not near there any more. anyway... by the time you leave Lancaster, you will know every inch of the campus too (assuming you're staying for 3 years)... take care
