50/50 casing formula

A FOAFOAF has several fully colonized cakes and wants to case them using verm and peat moss (50/50). What is a good water:verm:peat ratio? We have been using the Shroomery to look up info on casings, but most teks don't give any exact (or even rough) amounts of water to use. They just say stuff like "wet until casing just barely drips" or other descriptions.

10 cups verm + 10 cups peat + ? cups water?
5 cups verm + 5 cups peat + ? cups water?

suggestions or links are appreciated and read several times a day.

Look here, i think you add water until it is damp, so it depends on the peat moss and verm / hope that helps

Different vermiculite and peat moss types have different water absorbtion capabilities so its hard to come up with an exact recipe.

if you pick up the 50/50 mix it should feel wet. congradulations you now have enough water
