I have a cow field across the street here near a lake in the Dallas area.  There are often some P. Cube look-a-likes sprouting from the manure piles.  From just glancing at them they look just like a cube.  They are veiled with attached gills, meaty stems with a ring, and a splash of protruding golden brown from the center of the cap and range from small to fairly large.  They pop right out of the dung.  However, these don't bruise and drop black spores.  Just a caveat to those hunting in this area, check those spores and bruises closely cause this one almost fooled me and I've even cultivated P. Cubensis at home.
