I'm somewhat new to Central Florida and have yet to really go on a picking journey. If anyone would like a hunting buddy, send me a PM!

Just got back from second day on new field. The first day was rough. Spent alot of time looking in the wrong places. Seen alot of spores and new fresh pattys, but I had to go towards the other end of the field to even find anything even worth saving or eating. I managed to find about 13-14 small to mid-sized cubes, but it seems the locals have a better schedule than me. Today was way worse. We went to our original field to see if any of the sprouts have grown, and found only 2. We also grabbed a nice keeper patty to start growing ourselves. I would like to get together with other cubies and maybe start finding some good finds.

YES!after searching and searching, finally i have some luck. I found three types on horse shit and from the ground next to the cow fields. here is the deal, this is only the second time ive done this, first time in central Fl...
directly growing only on the Horse shit fungi- literally hundreds of tiny, sky blue caps with skinny stems...very,very young. seems like they had darker gills, and they turned black now. kinda scary looking. tried to find some mature enough to take a print.
in the same area (which was a small fenced in area for horses but the cows were kept right beside them across a fence) but Not growing on the poop i found, what i believe to be pan cyans!!!!!! yes, excited. but it is my understanding that perhaps alot of fungi look like this- nipples. fleshy caps with a brown hat, purple gills, skinny stems. bruises blue. tottally working on the SP now. but again, i dont think these were old enough. sad. but there were many i didnt touch. they were mainly growing under the shade of a tree. i assume we there should be waaay more where the cows are.
unfortunately i have no pictures for todays adventure.
i need help with these blue ones, they are freaking me out. dude, there were TONS of them. the 'pan cyans' i found were scattered and few and far between.
please help with what little info i have now. THANKS YALL!

If you are sure they are Panaeolus genus there aren't any poisonous ones to my knowledge, and if they bruise noticeably they are probably Cyans.
Bell shaped cap? No veil?
The little tiny ones kind of sound like Parasola, they're all over CFL.

I wrote a journal today on a cubensis that I found in late July in a cow pasture in Lakeland, FL. Do we any ideas or concensus on when will be the best seasonal time to hunt psilocybes in central florida? I think late summer, all of fall. 2 grams dried.

it either bruises blue or it is antillarum. foes might look similar but the red stem is a dead giveaway.

those pans bruised blue very easily and quite abundantly. after further research, i believe they may be paneaolus cambodginiensis, but i am not completely certain. on a separate note, i went again tuesday morning and found 6 cubes and 9 pans. one cube weighed 14 grams wet/4 grams dried. right now after this weeks collection, i have 7 grams of dried shrooms, not too bad for 2 outings!

This past month has sucked ass.My fields were producing grocery bags full, now I'm lucky to get 20 cubes.I think it has been too hot.I see turds that the mycelium is dying, I think cause of the heat.It rains everyday.I don't understand.I think when it cools down to the 80's they'll start fruiting everywhere, like before.

i agree with you cubeeater. i definitely think its been too hot. as long as september co-operates, i think the cubes will be on. i just went out tonight and i received nothing but wet shoes and pants. i hate field puddles you can't see till you are already standing in them. here are some pix of the biggest cube i have ever seen or found and one of the big night.

Too hot and the rains haven't been steady enough..
Should be some good times to come though. I know July was very nice for me.

Definitely not too hot. I been pullin in about 5 lbs of shrooms each time I go out after the rain. This has been good ALL season up until about 2 weeks ago when it started getting dry here in central FL again. The rain yesterday fixed that problem though ^^

In the first post, you call him bro. The second one is you telling him you're not his bro. wtf?
