Nah, never went to a 7-11 there (that I remember, anyway). The grocery stores there are hilarious though! There's a giant section reserved for rice . The candy aisle is awesome, Japan definitely has the edge on sweets.
Food in Japan is amazing if you love seafood.
Yeah man, seafood is the bomb, quality seafood that is.
One whole section reserved for rice?!?! How many varieties can there be?

There's a lot of "fast food" seafood, meaning not quite as fresh as you'd get in a Japanese restaurant in the US. Not to say that there isn't awesome/fresh seafood to be had there, just that seafood is so common that it's nowhere near the specialty that it is in the states.
As for the rice...it's pretty much the staple of their diet so it has a load of attention given to it (entertaining in my western eyes )
sorry to jack your thread, Moth

Oh, those Japanese.
That has nothing to do with the Japanese. Those frogs are 100% natural. There are a hell of a lot of animals that are transparent/translucent. Mainly amphibians and fish.
You can get these guys in most specialty fish stores (they're freshwater too):
Fish pictured in order: Glassfish Glass Catfish Blind Cave Tetra
If you EVER see any of these fish with insane neon colors, never buy them. Some sick fucks will sometimes inject these fish with neon colored dye to increase their selling potential. It's a disgusting practice that usually ends up with a 60%-75% death rate. I've read that the needle they use to inject them is equivalent to a human getting injected with a needle that is the size of a pencil. Fucked up. I shun any fish store that carries dyed fish.
Here are a dyed fish:
They probably died within two weeks of that picture being taken.

So, Parkinson's is incurable. It's in your dna, right? That means with genetic engineering that only the next generation will be saved.

Not necessarily. Parkinson's could potentially be curable if they could figure out just why the hell the dopamine neurons in the substantia nigra start to die out. Sure, it's probably in your genetics for those cells to die out, but perhaps they're dying out because they're not getting the proper nutrients or something along those lines.
I worked in a lab that researched dopaminergic and GABAergic neurons of the substantia nigra, and I can tell you one thing: we have A LOT to learn about Parkinson's before it is curable. On the upside, there are literally hundreds, if not thousands, of labs working on understanding how the disease works. Once they understand how it works then they can start working on a cure.
