The most common misconception about hacking is that you can 'learn to hack' in general.

You don't learn to hack. You learn to code. You learn how to utilize network connections. Once you master (or are pretty god damn good at a certain programming language or some type of cracking software), then you can start discovering vulnerabilities or exploits.

However there is forms of 'hacking' such as social engineering that I don't really view as true hacking, but it does help you obtain information for whatever you need. For example, it's like getting to know someone on MSN and finding out all their secret details so you can do a 'Forgot Password?' type of crack and gain access to their email.

Lol yeah kevin mitnick was a good hacker as well as SE.

In a way it is hacking, but just not computers, your hacking someones brain haha.

But yeah, your not exploiting code.

Dude up there who said you cant "learn to hack"

True...in a way, but thats all explained at the site. #1 thing is you gotta learn to code if you wanna "learn to hack". In order to understand exploiting code, you gotta know how the code works and how to make your own.

Plus hacking is basically an endless art, there is no specific way to do it, the term hacking just covers manipulating computers (or w.e) to do what you want, instead of what they were directly coded to do.

So yeah you cant exactly learn to hack, but you can be introduced to the environment and idea of it.

Dude i dunno it was just some beef they had as rival hacking sites, then shit talking happens and they start attacking eachother. I mean what do you think is gonna happen if some big hacker guy starts talking down about another one? The other ones gonna want to prove himself and show the other a lesson by "pwning" them haha. Just like if some gangster dude on the streets calls another one a punk bitch nigga. Theres likely gonna be a dispute. Doesnt mean the whole hoods messed up, lol.

But its not like they teach you to do that at the site. Thats just shit that certain members partake in themselfs. haha, basically like the extremists of the site XD.

Overall the sites a pretty cool place with a wide variety of knowledge to learn from.
