It?s been raining cats and dogs here. In fact a calico and a dachshund just hit the ground about twenty yards from here. Oh and let me tell you there is no sorrier sight than a family of wet raccoons? 
I kept hearing on the radio today that the coast is supposed to be experiencing near record waves, so tomorrow I think I?ll drive over to one my favorite coastal resort hotels, and hang out in the bar all day, get drunk, and watch the waves toss dead trees around like so many lincoln logs. Life is good!

Invite them in for a snack! But seriously, I met this DNR guy at a park (we thought we were busted for beer and not registering, turned out the guy was awesome just wanted to talk to us and tell some stories). He has a pet racoon that he keeps in the house. It's potty trained! He was training his cat to use the toilet --and flush!

Believe me, they have been snackin' a lot around here. We harvested a bunch of pear-apples a few months ago, and we had them out of the back porch. I came out, and found all these half eaten cores all over the back porch, and I thought that was damn sloppy of my friends. Then, later that evening, I caught a bunch of raccoons getting into more of them, so it wasn?t my friends making that mess at all!

He said he takes the coon out fishing. I'm pretty sure he said he's had it since it was born (or shortly thereafter). It used a litterbox. Coons are smart fuckers aren't they? Funny as shit too. Have fun on the coast. I like the Vargas girl.

50 ft swells in monterey maybe! I wish I could go but I can't get my arm wet! Aaaargghhh! I guess 20 ft in sc area. Did you wax your surfboard?  Sometimes raccoons will follow you around if you feed them cat food. I bet you could get one to eat out of your hand...

True! These are wild critters too, so I would be leary about having them too close. We have a lot of them around here, and so far we seem to live in peace with them. You just make sure not to leave a lot of food out...

I was light on cash, and I didn't make my cash hookup 'till tonight, so I didn't get to go to the coast today, but I'm goin' tomorrow! Hopefully the storms will have waited for me...

I'll be many hours south of there, but Astoria is way cool! Be sure to have breakfast/lunch at that little restaurant downtown with guy who has 7 kinds of pepper-jellies and all kinds of crazy plastic dinosaurs all over the place!
