Pineal gland
    #1039453 - 11/09/02 09:14 PM (14 years, 29 days ago)

What do you know about it?

--------------------
What if everything around you
Isn't quite as it seems?
What if all the world you think you know,
Is an elaborate dream?
And if you look at your reflection,
Is it all you want it to be?

Check out DMT: The Spirit Molecule by Rick Strassman. Gonna pick out some facts for you from the book.

It's 'unique in its solitary status within the brain. All other brain sites are paired..'
Descartes believed it was the seat of the soul. In less evolved animals (lizards, amphibians) it is like a third eye possessing lens, cornea, and retina, is light sensitive, etc. Our pineal gland is buried much deeper inside our brains. It becomes visible in the human fetus at exactly 49 days after conception, also the first time when gender can be determined. It doesnt originate in the brain. It develops from the roof of the mouth and migrates to the center of the brain. It is in close proximity to cerebrospinal fluid channels. It has direct access to the brains emotional centers, the limbic center surrounds the pineal gland. Constant darkness stimulates pineal growth and an increase in melatonin. Constant light decreases size. Melatonin is a tryptamine.

Ok, so thats just from 2 pages in the book. Too much typing from me. The pineal releases DMT. Strassman thinks its responsible for alien abductions, NDE's etc. Very interesting gland.

Due to legal issues, there hasn't been much experiments or tests on DMT and the pineal gland. People who have smoked DMT have smoked it in dreams and had the same experience, it is beleived that when this happens, the pineal gland could be releasing DMT.

The most amazing thing I've heard on the Pineal Gland is a radio interview from James Arthur. In it he talks about Terence and Dennis McKenna, Rick Strassman and the ideas that they inspired. It really is a trip. There is a slide show to view of images that go along with the interview. Don't forget that part.

Check this out!

it has happend to me before.
taking dmt in a dream, and feeling the full effect.
ill even wake up out of my dream an still feel it for a good while

i took salvia in a dream once, before i even had it.
and it felt just like the experience i had with it in reality
besides the altered place i was in.
same also with acid dreams
ill wake up in the dark hallucinating insanely
although... that happens anyways.

The pineal gland in my opinion is the seat of the soul, or in other words, where our essence is centered. It produces DMT in large amounts during traumatic events (NDEs), and at death. I have come to the conclusion, after reading DMT-The Spirit Molecule, that when DMT is administered intravenously, or inhaled, the soul leaves the physical body for a temporary period of time. When the DMT is released naturally at death, the seperation is permanent. Putting DMT into the body, in my opinion, is basically a way to simulate death and then return to reality unscathed (physically that is). Every single case study in the book shows evidence of alternate dimensions, ego loss, and non human entities. This leads me to believe very strongly in existence after death. I also think that it would be possible to trick the pineal gland into a premature release via meditation. The result being an astral projection or OOB type of experience. Just my thoughts. Anybody else have any comments.

I agree.

Not sure what the liquidy warm stuff that becomes active in my head on certain occasions is, but when it is released I tremble in ecstasy.

It's a possibility that it could be DMT being released... Interesting.

A friend of mine who likes to spend time in a sensory deprivation tank said that after fasting, doing breathing excersizes, meditating, and not sleeping for about 3 days the pineal gland could have release of DMT.
I have no idea what he was basing this on, rather just agreed with him so he would tell me more.  If my memory serves me correctly he said not sleeping is the key factor.
I'm reading DMT: The Spirit Molecule though and I've been interested in ayahuasca since crystalline DMT is not available to me.

This leads me to believe very strongly in existence after death.

The experience of a living organism affected by a chemical can in NO WAY possibly indicate what happens to the same organism after decomposition. This hyperjump of "logic" is of the type of irrationality that I rail against here on these boards.

in putting your words together, your always giving yourself away.

hyperjump of "logic"
it no longer is logic in rational views.

and to rail against?

i understand denifining lines for pleasure
have you ever gave up on your Self?
felt the winds of passivity blow over that overworking thought machine?

the relation is curiousity

the soul needs not justify
irrationality or rationality.
it just is, only the you can accompany it , fighting agaisnt or giving in peacefully.

Swami, I'm pretty sure that parts of the brain are still active after death, maybe even the pineal? So, a chemical in the brain could very well indicate what happens afterwards. I guess =p

It corresponds to one of the focal points for concentration in a certain Theravadin Buddhist meditation technique that I know of. The breath followed first to a point behind the bridge of the nose, then to the center of the brain, then to the top of the cerebrum, then down to the heart. The first two brain centers are supposed to correlate with the pineal and pituitary bodies - Ajna Chakra and Sahasrara respectively - and the 'movement' is the 'Inner Vision' opening to the 'Inner Light,' before it descends into the Center of Human Life - the Heart. From the Heart, the Light can figuratively suffuse the entire person, as does the blood, transforming the person.

are not apart."

Re: Pineal gland [Re: MarkostheGnostic]

Excerpt from www.revelatorium.com :

When someone is no longer subject to, meaning their actions in consciousness are completely harmonious to the Will of the Creators and they are no longer subject to the lesser static thoughts of the lower frequencies such as carnal, a cup shaped induction center is set up between the Pituitary gland and the Pineal gland. The induction center is called, 'The Holy Grail'.

The Holy Grail induction center receives higher dimensional life frequencies called Manna from Heaven. 'Whosoever drinks from the Holy Grail shall have everlasting life', symbolized by Christ to his disciples two thousand years ago at the Last Supper.

The frequency is for both regeneration and rejuvenation. Regeneration of the species is achieved through the normal methods of conception and birth. Rejuvenation is achieved through a more productive use of the seminal fluids than carnal gratification.

If you disengage from lustful sexual activities (complete celibacy is preferable), dissolve all carnal thought, do not cast your seed upon the ground (masturbate), and do not succumb to nocturnal emissions (dream visits), the seminal fluids will begin to move up your spine. The same is true whether you are a man or woman. The process of preserving the fluid is called internalization.

The flow will continue into your Pineal and Pituitary areas. The presence of the fluid stimulates a process of induction within an induction cup resonance center set up between your Pineal and Pituitary glands. The induction cup is called the Holy Grail. Since the Holy Grail is the true source of sustenance, the rise of fluid up your spine is called the 'Fountain of Youth'.
