Cake Buising and side effects

I wanted to take a test cake and dunk it, to see if the results are that big of a deal.. the only thing I could get to hold the cake underwater was a shot glass with a mouse ball and water in it.. this came to slightly above the lid of the bowl (tupperware) and when the lid was placed on, it pushes down on the shot glass, and in turn the cake. I'm pretty sure this amount of pressure is going to bruise the cake, is this bad? And if it's really really bad tell me, because I just did it like 15 minutes ago and I'll look into other ways to keep the cake submurged. Thanks.

Nah it shouldent mess up your cake and It also shouldent bruise it. If it does it dosent mean anything bad. I just took a quart jar and filled it with water and set the cake in and screwed on the lid
