honey lc

I just inoculated wbs jars with my last syringe. Now I would like to make lc jars. I wanted to try honey but find different recipes and was wondering what would be the best. I read 1 tbs spoon of honey to one pint of water and one tsp to 100 ml off water.

4 grams of honey to 100 grams of water.

why do you need three holes. and is there a way to make a vent that you could shake the jar with out soaking Polly or tyvek.

Use a single EZ-Port with a breather syringe.
No liquid can go up inside the body of the syringe, the bottle is spillproof. Spill resistant, anyway.

Tyvek would be ok. You're probably going to discard the grain anyway after you make the grain LC, so even polyfil is ok. It's only going to be like a few tablespoons of grain in the bottom of a jar. Just enough to colonize nicely.

Right, but there's no need to shake honey or karo LC.
You just swirl it. Put a marble in the bottom to help. So the polyfil isn't a problem, you aren't going to get anywhere near it.

Right. You cut the end off the syringe cap to make a needleless port. You can inject spores there or make an injection port, either way.
