What strain would be most forgiving to a newb' whos probably going to mess things up.. that'd be me :smile:

B+ is good to start with. Its what I did my first jars with.

Equadors grow faster than B+, making them a good choice

Ecuador and B+ are both good first choices.
But almost all strains are good for newbies.

Do NOT get Puerto rican as there one of the harder cubensis strains. You will run into problems

i heard EQ's were fast colonizers but it took me about a month and a couple of days to finally get hyphal knots.... i guess you can try EQ's or b+ but be sure to create optimal temps and humidity....those two factors (along with sterility ) can greatly effect the yeilds and time it takes to colonize......

the number one reason your eqs were different was purely the spoer match genetics of your eqs.
Try stable mushrooms like eqs, pes amaz, tassies, mazas etc.
