glad to see you found that useful

Funny thing is, in the pict, they look NOTHING like what i have seen in teh wild... much stranger in the cultivation experimetn... one pict is bizzare... very red caps almost.. or maybe thats the chocolate wheelies (my own) that i ate...  maybe i need to go back and look at the pict... as of right now the screen has become verystrange.. cut in half, one dark and the other bright as hell.. and i see little mandalas in the oil/dirt mixture on the  monitor glass

holy crap, im coming up fast. the few spaces between that big swirily paragraph and this line im on typing rigt now  was about a aspan of 6 seconds

stupified...? yes.  2 grams? yes. this is prolly the strongest trip i hvae had as of yet.
(im still fairly new to the mushroom)

what a wonderful musroom.. im off before i wander waayy off topic.. waves.... thatas all i can say.. later/

ah... and i keep yawning.. mush be tryptophan..

out

Super duper Necro but this thread title is perfect. I have a weili print that I haven't been able to get to germinate at all on agar so if anyone has some experience or another print floating around or anything to add I would be interested.

Sounds like a neat little species. Not sure about the germination but I read through this it seemed informative for weilii http://www.shroomery.org/36/Cultivation-of-Psilocybe-weilii

We call this Psilocybe caerulescens now.    P. weilii is the same as P. caerulescens, and since P. caerulescens was described in 1923 and P. weilii in 1996, the older name takes precedence.

I told Andrew Weil about this and he immeditely ran out of the room and called Paul Stamets.  Paul was like...I dunno man....

P. weilii was described as a new species due to the presence of pleurocystidia, however when the type collection of P. caerulescens was checked, it also had pleurocystidia.  The type location of P. caerulescens is only 250 miles from the type collection of P. weilii - they are definitely synonyms.  DNA analysis of the type collection of P. weilii and P. caerulescens collections from Mexico and Central America agrees with this conclusion.
