Hey everyone,Im new to the website and was wondering if I could get some help with these mushrooms that I found growing on a plain grass field near a soccer field in Southern Georgia.(very Southern, near the Florida border).I have no Idea if they are psilocybin containing mushrooms and there is no way that I am gonna eat them to find out without confirmation.I apologize for the quality of the pics I took them with a camera phone.
As I mentioned earlier,I found them growing in small clusters directly next to a soccer field in Southern GA, some were even growing on the soccer field. This is the second day that I seen them, yesterday they were very small. Today it rained a decent amount and I went back and found even more of the clusters and there size was noticeably bigger. When I picked them they were very moist and soggy and I couldnt really bruise them. I picked up a pretty good amount of them.I put a Blockbuster card near them for size comparision.Im pretty sure if I would have waited till tommorow they would have grown even bigger.Anyway please help me if you could ID these guys. THANK YOU!

Not ink caps. They are a Conocybe species.

I've noticed lots of ink caps will melt so much and then just begin to dry. But typically they would be melting.

Yep, the not melting, the thin fibrous stems, and brown gills point to Conocybe.
