How do I store it, its been in front of the fan for 24 hrs easy, so can I throw it in a ziploc bag with maybe a pack of desiccant?
Or any other options, maybe a margarine container with desiccant packages , (i stole em from beef jerky displays
would this work, or any working suggestions? No vacuum seal, !

ziploc bag has been fine for me, w/o dessiccant... just make sure they're dry enough when they go in there

after you are completely sure that all of them are cracker dry, i put mine in ziploc bags or canning jars in the freezer.

I have left mine in front of a fan for a week. Mainly because the humidity outside was 90%+. They would not get cracker dry. Since I always fan dry I was worried. I then turned my oven on to 100, opened the door, put a fan blowing in, and placed my shrooms on the middle oven rack for 10 minutes. They were cracker dry. Initially I was drying 37 grams. After the 10 minutes they were 34g. I did not notice any potency lost either.
Other than the odd 10 days of rain, I usually fan dry 2-5days, until cracker dry, then simply place in a zip-lok vaccum seal bag and have kept them in a cool, dry place for up to a year.
Good Luck

that's the way that i do it when i have way too many than my dehydrator can handle, oven on lowest setting with a fan blowing in it for a few hours. it works great.

Do you guys in the US not have fans built into your ovens? All the ovens in Germany have built-in fans that you can switch on and off to your liking (Speeds up baking/cooking time for regular dishes, but is really awesome for drying shrooms, too ).

i dont know about the new ones, because mine is probably a good fifty years old, but mine does not. the place i live in was the first one my landlords built when they were in their 20's, and the stove/oven is still here.

Ah, ok. Here when you move in the kitchen usually isn't equipped with any appliances. You bring your own. So when you move you are taking your stove with you.

Convection ovens tend to be an expensive option in North America. I've never owned one. I see them now and then in new houses, but not often.
