Ok i have a few myco bags i innocculated with eq's.they are starting to colonize and the temp is around 70 degrees.i know it should be 80-85 but my set up sucks and my problem is that when i want them to start pinning and i turn the light on i think it will accually raise the temp quit a bit. Do you think i will be able to get them to pin without a problem if this happens.will the light alone induce pinnig. What should i do

I'm not sure I understand what the hell your talking about. it needs to be 100% colonized before you introduce it light.

that is what i mean.when its 100% colonized i will introduce light but at that time the temp should be dropped about 10 degrees but i think my light will raise the temp

10 degrees from what? what you could do is move the light farther away, it doesn't have to be 2 inches away from the substrate.

To get any sort of speedy colonization, you will need to get your temperature up. There is no ifs and buts here. Seventy degrees F will not cut it. Get your temperatures up. As it was stated earlier, when you are ready for pinning, the light-source does not need to be 2 inches away from your bag. Indirect light will do.

w00t w00t @ my fellow droog.

anyhoo, dude if your light is that heatingupness, put a black towel or thicker cloth on top of the bag in the box, open, so the light doesnt hit the bag and let that heat it up, im sure taht would help your colonizations greatly, even a tshirt or soem shit.
