Contam that has been overcome

**I posted this in contam section also but I think it's useful for many new growers.
My last two entire batches, which consisted of about 10 jars, nearly all got a contam that fills all the grain with little white dots. Whats this one called and what causes it?
Anyways, a little word from my experience. Basically even though nearly 100% of my jars got this contam, about 80% of those jars STILL made it. Granted they did slow down quite a bit, they eventually managed to overpower the white dots and eventually finished, ending in normal flushes.
It's certainly not ideal, but if you value your jars and dont have hundreds that are disposable like me KEEP the jars around with this contam, isolate them if you have to. Give them a chance.
Just some advice from my experiences.
Again this grain contam spreads little white dots throughout the whole jar, thats the only symptom of the contam, anything else is probably another contam and doomed.

Yep thats yeast infection. Have you fruited those jars yet? I wouldnt recomend spawning them.
Its not uncomen for mycelium to continue growing with certain contamination, but ive never seen those substrates fruited. Its likely the contamination is still there, it might not you dont know.
this is a contaminated pf cake i inoculated with oak ridge final spores, a strain that has shown on quite a number of occasions to apperently eat contamination.
This is the same jar that colinised 1 half of the jar fully and pinned invitro
and the other side
id never did fully colinise though, soem mould did grow back. But it was nice to see the mycelium trying to fight back and survive.
I also had an oak ridge grow that showed contamination in 2 spots that grew to a few inches, then got covered and the cake fruited 3 flushes without any signs of contam, though the fruits were small and not many and i reckon that the mould had colinised the middle, mycelium surrounded it and didnt let it spread further.
With spawn, i wouldnt risk using it on bulk substrate.

It's yeast and should be tossed out. Opening those jars, even if mycelium has covered the yeast, releases ungodly amounts into the air in your house, contaminating your future grows. RR

Alright here are some pics. Sometimes I feel like i'm the only person on shroomery who knows how to use macro mode on a camera.
This is the yeast contam I suppose..
Here is a jar that suffered the same contam but finished completely.. it will spawn fine like the grow before this. A whole monotub just fine.
Again I know it's not perfect but it's silly to get rid of a jar thats colonized. I understand it's possible to spread it to future grows but good sterilization should obviously take care of that!
I only recommend NOT doing g2g transfers with jars like this.

That is good advice not to do grain to grain, which would give it another chance to run right trhough your grains before the mycelium establishes itself.
I think RR means your bulk grows, not grain jars etc.
Increasing your spore load in your grow area can lead to higher contaninations.
Its a precation, remember that mould spores will stick to everything, including you.

Is there a most common cause of yeast contamination's? Where would this come from?
