Martha Closet Setup (offer feedback) PICS

I just recently completed a Martha Stewart Closet and I would like yalls opinion on the setup. The outside is a white airrated material (seen in pic) and the inside has four shelves setup. Two hygrometers are setup in place as well. Also, two cool mist humidifiers are at the bottom. Take a look and tell me what you think. Changes? Ideas? Anything?
My current humidity and temp are 84% and 74 degrees. Advice on increasing humidity. Ultrasonic on timer? or something else? I have read that cutting slits on the bottom where the coolmist are at is good, but I am afraid that it will lower humidity.
Do not mind the growth on the second shelf, these are the 2nd run after the 6hr run under water. The top shelf is a new batch.

They are 23 or 25 watt daylight bulbs. Is the housing for the light wrong? Maybe go with a straight light housing instead of the domed one in the pics?

Should it be placed at bottom between cool mist or up on the top shelf?

rockin. thanks. I have also been reading about running the timer with a setting of 15min on/1hr off. Is this normal or is it just up to experimentation?

This is something that you will have to tinker around with due to different claimants we all live in. One setting might work for one but not the next.

Im gonna give you a big tip. No matter how much you research, your gonna have to find the sweet spot for your own setup, which wont be true until you have substrate in there. Go a lil cooler than your used to with these. No higher than 75F with me. Fresh air, IMO, is more important than humidity. Before you go screamin at me, lemme explain. I have great flushes in mine, with fluctuations in RH down to 80%. I have 4 slits every shelf, with 3 each being 6in slits. thats just for MINE tho. Took me a couple weeks to figure it all out. I have a ceiling fan on right over it 24 hours. I turn on CFL lights in the fan when I wake up, and off when I go to bed.

Its cool dude, I won't scream at you. I am here to learn and take advice both positive and negative. I will keep this in mind and try running different times, openings, and what not to find a good setting.

poster,
ive got a martha setup as well. and no offense, but there is one major flaw that i see with yours, and i fell in the same trap myself. the material you have shouldn't be breathable, fae comes from slits or holes. hey, maybe it doesn't matter, but if you're not completely invested into this thing, go with a bed bath & beyond model. while they dont have the traditional martha with no bottom and what not, they do have one that hangs in your closet. which is perfect for me because i have one, cout 'em one cool mist, and i can get 100% Rh, or somewhere near it anyway (sometimes with the aid of perlite on those dry days). actually most of the time, its too humid! not to mention infinite FAE because its on the outside, below the bottom shooting up, hence i didnt mod a thing, i just have a slit that it can blow through. yes, yes, i know (that was for the experienced) that one should never have anything like that near the ground, but i take all necessary precautions, and never (in my 3 weeks of doing this) have i had a problem. food for thought GO Marthas!! plus filling all those up all the time would (eventually) piss me off. i mean if one of those dry out, its a fire hazard.
You know, after ive written all this, i went up and read the thread again, and i see you have a pretty tight shelving system. hmm maybe your plans are solid, its just that with a martha you should get up to 4 tiers just for fruiting! oh yeah, also one more thing. and im not 100 on this but im pretty sure this applies to all humidifiers that either go into the martha or that are modded into it: they have to be of the impeller type (search impeller). if those are, then ignore this last part of my msg. heck, ignore all of it if you want. just my 2 cents. tht breathable stuff doesnt look pastic. if it gets damp it will grow mould.
You need plastic lining.
not sure what type of coolmist that is, you need an impellar coolmist, it has a spinning disk inside. If its a fan, or a wicking type it will never humidify a martha or greenhouse.
vicks v400 and vicks v420 are both impellar types and dont look like that one.

I think that breathable stuff will be fine, although don't quote me on that. I use that material as filters for my Jars, Ive probably done 100, and only got 2 contams, so it obviously works.
I think i've also read on the packaging of product made with the same material, and im quite sure it said Mould/Mildew Resistant.
Its known as 'sms non woven' if you want to look it up.
If this stuff turns out to not go mouldy and keep the humidity in, it will allow amazing FAE and you may of just reinvented the martha as we know it :P

Looks pretty good. Personally If It were my set-up I would put the lights outside the tent not inside. Just in case the bulbs get too hot and in case a drop of water doesn't somehow get on the bulbs causing them to break. Flouros and CFLs work perfect. They also don't give off much heat. You could always add alittle perlite to the tray that collects water at the bottom of the closet. That would help with the humidity and also absorb any drips. Just a few ideas. Gookluck and keep up the good work!

Sorry for the long delay for I have not be on the site for a few days. Nothing has gone moldy. I check the temp and humidity everyday and they stay in the numbers that are needed. My cakes on the other hand have a single life expectancy. The reason being is that I run them under water for the 6-12 hours for a rehydration then after a few days or so they either do not produce anymore or become infected with cobweb mold. I just through them out and start fresh since it is no big deal to me. The casing for the cakes is relatively cheap and I buy in bulk so it saves me money.

Hmm Okay. Im unsure what to recommend about your cakes getting cobweb mould, but the martha sounds good. Is the material wet to touch on the outside?
Your cakes shouldnt be getting cobweb after the first flush, id ask for someones advice on that one.

The material is dry on the outside, but the inside is a litle moist, but that is from the ultrasonic blowing mist in that direction. I just wipe it down every few days or so. I have read that hydrogen peroxide takes care of cobweb mold.
