 Steam humidifier?????

I was just about to go out and buy an ultra sonic humidifier but first i looked in my closit and found and old one.i dont think its ultra sonic though. it has the spinning plastic thing that gets the water to the top which vaporizes it.Is this how ultra sonic humidifiers work???.. heres a pic.
will this work correctly???

as long as the mist comming out of it is NOT hot, then give it a try.

sweer thats what i was hopping... i can make the water any temp i want. i just put tha water in the tub and it comes out taht way..
Also to control tempuratures do you think it would be a good idea to put a heating blanket under my rubermade container..... 
O and what ratio of water and bleach or water and iso should i use???

Alright then i will get a fishtank pump instead of an ultra sonic humidifier... But thats not what i was asking. I just want a few reliable people to tell me if that humidifier will work.
Because im going for not spending any money  so far iv only bought spores of "portabella" and BRF, verm and perilite..and me and friend split that  i already had the other stuff.

it looks like it'll work. If you want to to be sterile mix 10 parts water and 1 part 3% hydrogen peroxide solution. For bleach, not sure if what magic ratio is, but over 100 parts water and 1 part bleach. Also it sounds like you don't have an ultrasonic humidifier. An ultrasonic humidifier uses a metal diaphragm vibrating at an ultrasonic frequency, much like the element in a high-frequency speaker, to create water droplets.
Also used distilled water because when the the water evaporates mineral deposits are left and concentrated. It may hinder it's operating ability.

What would my humidifier be called then?? I searched for steam humidifier on google and it brought up industrial shwag. So i dotn think its a "steam humidifier" .
And what would you use for a water mix in the humidifier?? bleach,peroxide or iso. The facs have sooooo many options its kinda over welllming

Look up "cool mist" humidifiers....... That`s an old one you have in that pic..... It should work fine... but new ones are cheap at wal-mart

You keep calling it a "steam" humidifier. If it don't produce water vapor at 212 degrees F, it ain't a steam humidifier.
It LOOKS like, and you described it as, a non-evaporative cool-mist humidifier, which is said to be perfect for mushroom cultivation purposes by many tek writers. Not only would it be good for humidity, but for gas exchange as well.
I've been looking for one of those damn things - can't find them anywhere.

SWEET finaly a little luck. My first try at it i didnt get any growth for about a month and after that all 12 jars got contam  . I think i know what i did wrong. Just gotta learn from my mistakes.
PS: Does 25 bucks sound like a record price for starting to grow .. that price also includes 2 tariums for cakes and casings, pressure cooker and now a humidifier  .
