Odd Growing Conditions...

Well... after not sterilizing 6 jars of prepared substrate for 5 days, I decided to toss em... but when I took em out I noticed something weird... they had spots of white fluff all over. It was some type of fungus or mold contam, but the odd thing was that the flecks were everywhere... and the jar box that I left them in even felt damp and warm... I figure another 3 days and theyll be fully colonized by the contam... and normally it would take 2-3 weeks of letting my jars go unsterilized before they would become fully colonized by a contam. I'm gonna prepare another 12 and put 6 of them in the box and see how things go... also, the contam sorta smells like yeast fermenting sugar... gimme your opinions/comments...

If this is true, it supports the fact that growing mycelium produces its own heat and humidity...

I have a mycobag that was contaminated, but I never threw it out. It wasn't repulsive, but it does smell like it's fermenting.
