wonderful pin set . . . but stalled growth . . .

the setup . . . a 55 gallon rubbermaid container . . . humidified for 10 minutes every 2 hours with an ultrasonic humidifier hooked directly to the chamber . . . light provided by a florescent, cycled, 12 hours off, 12 on . . . a component fan attached to the side, though rarely used because i imagine the ultrasonic displaces CO2 build-up . . . inside, directly in the middle, a 3 gallon container of colonized straw/dung cased -w- jiffy mix, 100+ pins formed . . . the casing is misted once a day -w- an extremely weak solution of bleach and water (ratio much less than 1:100) . . . the growth is slow, the pins having become visible on monday, but really only gaining a slight increase in roundness, some a slight increase in heighth (a cm or two at most) . . . does anyone know what might be the problem? . . . it would be a shame to fail now, with success looming over the horizon . . .

actually . . . after reading this . . . and analyzing my ardvark's chamber . . . i think that my problems have to do with too much moisture, instead of not enough . . . i've decided to discontinue the use of the ultrasonic until further notice . . . instead using the same timer to vent the chamber for 3 minutes every 2 hours with the component fan . . . i will mist when the casing when it begins to look dry . . .
