i just wondered about mushrooms life cycle and felt like asking a few questions : has the mycelium from 1 single innoc point the same genotype everywhere? can i spawn a sterilised jar with an used casing substrate which i want to select for its good performances...?? or do i have to clone it using agar agar?? please help me to progress in that wonderful world of mycology

You should clone it, but you don't have to use agar. You can clone it into liquid substrates like honey, malt or my fav. dextrose water. You can clone it directly to grain. You can blend it and use it directly as innoculate for anything as described in 9er's tek.
Consider peroxide if you clone to agar or grain. Search for how it's done...

I just looked at my profile and realized I had a website at one point in time on geocities, it's not there anymore and I have no idea what I had on it. Anybody remember my website from several years aga? PM if so please.

probably not, unless your spore syringe was very dilute. Spores tend to clump together y'see.
>can i spawn a sterilised jar with an used casing substrate which i want to select for its good performances...??
you'd be better off cloning a single fruit rather than substrate from a successful casing...

How would you recommend cloning to grain? I've tried several times using an inner stem piece and peroxide. I use a sterilized syringe to squirt some H2O2 into the jar and I dip the stem piece into H2O2 also. I try to be as sterile as I can, using isopropyl alcohol, flame and doing the transfer in the oven. I get some new growth but then the jar grows contamination. Would it be best to inject a larger amount of peroxide into the jar and shake?
Thank you.

> Would it be best to inject a larger amount of peroxide into the jar and shake? You can put 5 ml of 3% peroxide in a pint grain jar and shake really well, then transfer mycelium to the jar.

sooo.. if i put a piece of some fresh mushroom in a honey+water mix it will develop mycelium and can be used for liquid innoc ?

yes it is possible to clone by simply blending up a shroom in sterile honey-water. i have successfully done it. be prepared for dissapointment and contams, as this is the usual result of any of what you have proposed, but not to pee on your campfire, yes, it is all possible and has been done.
as to the genotype question. . . at a single point of innoculation in live growing mycelium, the genetic material from one cell will be identical to that of the others around it, and are thus of the same genotype. mycelium that has differing DNA will pass copies of the chromosomes to the other cells and "mate" with them untill all the cells have either the same genetic make-up or the mycelium will invisibly divide itself into separate and not compleatly compatible colonies.
but from a single point, like a grain of millet or something, the colony that arises from that point, even if it is spread over an entire tray, will have the same genetic material as it's parent.
